Home - Journeys - Germany, Saarbrucken 2020 - Saturday, September 26, 2020
We slept reasonably well in the
Best Western Victor's Residenz-Hotel Rodenhof in Saarbrücken.
Breakfast is just like yesterday, it is much busier and it is even more striking than
yesterday that many hotel guests come to eat at the very last minute so that the staff gets
very busy, extra people have to help.
We're going home today.
The weather is bad, it is raining and sometimes the wind blows hard.
According to the weather report, the rain will disappear during the day.
When checking out, the parking garage turns out to be free, which is nice.
We leave at half past ten.
Despite the rain, we are making good progress, and according to our GPS we could be home by
three.
But of course it goes wrong, in the vicinity of Mönchengladbach an accident appears to have
happened on a roundabout, of course just on the exit that we must have.
After an hour of detour we are back on the right track and at half past four we are home in
Apeldoorn.
We unload the car and eat rice with Thai curry.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
